A three day-trip in London

for the Terminales LLCE

Day 1 : First impressions
After a nearly 3 hours on board of the Eurostar, we eventually arrived at Saint Pancras, in London.
Collecting our Oyster cards was our first complex but indispensable task to visit London.
After checking in at our Youth Hostel in Earls Court, we went to visit the Science Museum where we discovered and especially liked the interactive activities in the space and medecine galleries. Then, we spent two hours at Covent Garden, a very lively and crowdy place where we had free time.

Day 2 : a rainy … but interesting day
In the morning, we could walk past the Parliament, Big Ben, and 10 Downing Street. Unfortunately, the changing of the guards was cancelled because of the weather. We went to the National Gallery where we could discover and admire the famous English paintings of Gainsborouh, Turner … as well as other French painters such as Monet, Renoir, Chardin …
Our next visit took place at the War Museum where we were moved by the Holocaust and the Ukraine War galleries. We ended our day with a ‘Ghost Tour’ … we didn’t know London was haunted !!
We had our evening meal at a delicious Lebanese restaurant !

Day 3 : Last but not least
We spent a few hours at Candem Market … a crazy, colorful and bright flee market where we had a long free time and where we met incredible punks ! Afterwards, we spent some time in Oxford Street before going back to Saint Pancras
We would like to thank our teachers for this entertaining and enriching trip !!
